Kim Chang Yop, chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, made a report there to be followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers referred to the fact that the President, who embarked upon the road of the revolution in his teens, performed the immortal exploits for the country, the people, the era and the history, while leading the Korean revolution for a long period.
They recalled that the President, who provided the traditions of peasant movement in the flames of the anti-Japanese revolution, had led the UAWK to fully display its mission and duty as reliable helper and companion of the Party at each historic phase of the building of a new country, the Fatherland Liberation War and socialist construction.
The dramatic change in the socialist countryside was a result of love and devotion of the President who had found himself among peasants until the last moments of his great life, they stressed.
The idea and cause of the President were invariably carried forward by leader Kim Jong Il and they shine rays generation after generation under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, they noted.
