S. Korean Bodies Launch Anti-War Peace Movement

Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) — South Korean organizations comprising people of different social standings launched a peace movement against war, according to the south Korean on-line paper Tongil News.

The South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration, the Solidarity for Progress and other organizations of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul to declare the formation of the “Peace Action for Abolishing Deep-rooted Evils” on April 10.
Speakers said they would launch 10,000-signature campaign in Seoul and all-people peace movement ahead of the “presidential” election in May.
A press release was read out at the conference. The release stressed that they would, in solidarity with citizens, stage a peace action to turn the candlelight for ouster of Park Geun Hye into that for peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula.
