The general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia said that April when the President was born is a very significant month when Kimilsungia was named, adding:
When Kim Il Sung visited Indonesia 52 years ago, President Sukarno told him that he was going to name a rare flower bred by a horticulturist after his august name.
Since then the flower became not only a token of special relations between the two Presidents but a symbol of friendship between the two countries.
We will as ever further boost the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries along with the flower in full bloom by informing the new generations of the stories related to the immortal flower.
The exhibition will go on till April 16.
