Kim Jong Un Issues Order to Promote Military Ranks of KPA Commanding Officers

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) — Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army Kim Jong Un issued an order to promote military ranks of KPA commanding officers on April 14, the eve of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

According to the order, Ri Yong Gil and So Hong Chan were promoted to army general, Wi Song Il, Pang Tu Sop, Ri Song Guk, Yang Tong Hun, Kim Yong Bok, Kim Myong Nam, Jo Nam Jin, Jang Kil Song, Song Jun Sol and Kim Chol Gyu to army colonel general, Rim Kwang Il, Kim Jong Sik, Ri Yong Chol, Kim Kwang Hyok and Ma Won Chun to army lieutenant general, and Kang Su to army major general.
Kim Jong Un expressed belief that the KPA commanding officers would as ever get more firmly united under the banner of the Party Central Committee as befitting the descendents of President Kim Il Sung and soldiers and disciples of leader Kim Jong Il, and thus fulfill the mission and duty they assumed before the times and the revolution.
