Art Performance “With a Single Heart” Given Here

Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) — An art performance “With a Single Heart” was given at the Rungna People’s Pleasure Park here on Sunday in celebration of the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

It was enjoyed by Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Pak Yong Sik and other senior party, state and army officials, the chairman of a friendly party, vice-premiers of the Cabinet and delegates to the celebrations of the Day of the Sun.
Present there on invitation were overseas Koreans’ congratulatory groups and delegations, overseas compatriots, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations here and their spouses, military attaches of foreign embassies and their spouses and other foreign guests.
The performance began with prologue chorus and dance “With a Single Heart” reflecting the noble loyalty and will of the Korean army and people to hold Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea and great sage of revolution, in high esteem as the eternal sun of Juche for all ages.
Its numbers included narration and chorus “Our Leader”, female duo and female chorus “Song of Mangyongdae”, female quartet and chorus and dance “We Sing of Our Country Holding the Leader in High Esteem” and picture-on-sand and jugglery “Pyongyang Is Best”.
The performers sang loudly of the exploits of Kim Il Sung who worked unprecedented miracle in history by defeating the two formidable imperialisms in one generation and had devoted his all to prosperity of the country and happiness of its people till the last moments of his life.
They well represented the proud history in which the people has developed the country into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, weathering the stern tempest of the revolution under the wise leadership of the President and the Party.
Fireworks were on display in the sky.
The performance ended with epilogue “Leader Will Always Be with Us”.
