Kelp Harvest on Full Scale in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) — Offshore farms in the west coastal area of the DPRK have turned out in kelp harvest.

They have boated more kelp than planned in a little more than half a month from the beginning of April.
In the Pupho Offshore Farm alone, hundreds tons of kelp have been gathered.
The Ongjin Offshore Farm has introduced a rational thinning method and thus carried out its daily production plan by 1.1 times.
The same is true of other offshore farms across the country striving to increase kelp production by expanding cultivation area and improving cultivation methods this year which is of weighty importance in implementing the five-year strategy for national economic development.
