Women’s Union Members Meet with War Veteran

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) — Women’s union officials and members met with a war veteran at the Hall of Women on Friday on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Korean People’s Army.

Present at the meeting were Jang Chun Sil, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea, and officials and members of the union.
Ju Jae Hyon, a war veteran, made a speech at the meeting.
He told them about the Songun leadership feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.
It was thanks to the great leaders that the DPRK could defeat the U.S. imperialists in the Fatherland Liberation War and emerge victorious in the showdown with the U.S-led imperialists century after century, he stressed.
He recalled that he joined the People’s Army at the age of 17 and fought many battles such as the battle of the River Rakdong and the battle of Mt Wolbi.
He also told that the KPA fighters captured Height 351, the enemy vouched as “line of no retreat”, just in 15 minutes by applying the Juche-based war methods advanced by the President.
