Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) — Tong Chol Ho, DPRK ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, presented his credentials to President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo on April 20.
Noting that the relationship between the two countries has a history of nearly 5 decades, the president said:
President Kim Il Sung rendered sincere help to Equatorial Guinea when it was undergoing difficulties.
The two countries have strengthened solidarity with each other in the struggle to defend sovereignty and achieve territorial integrity.
Today’s international situation is very complicated.
Equatorial Guinea will stand by the DPRK in the future, too, as it supported the Korean people in building a powerful country in the past.
We hope that the DPRK with advanced technology and experience will continue to help Equatorial Guinea in its development.
Equatorial Guinea will never forget the DPRK which rendered active support and encouragement to the African countries in their struggle for independence, sovereignty and development, and will always remain a close friend of the DPRK.
