Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) — The army and people of the DPRK are paying high tribute to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, who founded and built the revolutionary armed forces and represent the eternal victory of the great Paektusan nation, on the occasion of the 85th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army (KPA).
Seen before the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the KPA.
Laid before the statues were floral baskets in the names of the Party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People’s Internal Security Forces, institutions, enterprises and schools at all levels in Pyongyang, and bouquets and flowers.
The participants paid tribute to the great leaders before their statues.
Floral tribute was paid to the great leaders before their statues at Kim Il Sung Military University, Kim Il Sung University of Politics, the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces, the Ministry of People’s Security, the Mansudae Art Studio and other places in Pyongyang.
Service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children across the country laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statues of the great leaders in their units and residential quarters.
