S. Korean Authorities Urged to Stop Escalating Confrontation with North

Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) — The Solidarity for Democracy, People’s Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty in south Korea called a press conference outside the “government” building in Seoul on April 27 to urge the puppet authorities to stop escalating confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north and come out for improved south-north relations, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News.

Speakers at the conference said economy has entered the era of no growth from the era of low growth, the south-north relations went bankrupt and businessmen and workers who worked for economic cooperation with the north are driven into death due to the Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye regimes.
To overcome this, the misguided “north policy” must be withdrawn and the south-north relations must be improved, they stressed.
A press release read out there said that making peace settle on the Korean peninsula is one of the reformist tasks, calling for the resumption of the south-north dialogue and exchanges to this end.
The “government” has to come out for the improvement of the relations, though belatedly, and lift the “May 24 step” that blocks the exchange and resume the tour of Mt Kumgang and operation of the Kaesong Industrial Park, to begin with, it urged.
