Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) — Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK who is leading the Foreign Ministry delegation on a visit to Mauritania, paid a courtesy call on Isselkou Ould Ahmed Izid Bih, minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mauritania, on April 27.
Sin referred to the fact that President Kim Il Sung paid an official visit to the country in May 1975 and thus contributed to the development of the bilateral friendly and cooperative ties and to the achievements made by the army and people of the DPRK in the efforts to building a socialist power, united close around respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
He underlined the need to further expand and develop the historic and long-standing relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mauritania recalled that the President positively supported the Mauritanian people’s struggle to build a new society after the independence of their country. And the minister expressed the will to further strengthen in mutual interests the cooperation and coordination between the two countries, peace-loving states desirous of independent development, although they are far away from each other geographically.
