Foreign Ministry Spokesman Slams U.S. Politician for Hurting Dignity of DPRK Supreme Leadership

Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) — A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA Friday as regards an invective against the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK made by a U.S. congressman:

On May 3 Sen. Cory Gardner, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asia and the Pacific, spoke ill of the dignity of the DPRK supreme leadership, when interviewed by NBC.
The slandering words made by Cory Gardner, a man tantamount to a mentally deranged, is a serious provocation that can never be overlooked.
It is misfortune of the U.S. that among its politicians is such human reject as Cory Gardner devoid of proper appearance as human being, to say nothing of elementary judging ability.
Cory Gardner, who took the lead in trumpeting about “sanctions and pressure” on the DPRK, guided by his deep-seated repugnancy toward it, did hurt even the dignity of the DPRK supreme leadership only to disclose his true colors as a die-hard confrontational maniac.
Fanatics, who dare point an accusing finger at the dignity of the DPRK supreme leadership whom the Korean army and people uphold as their sun, can never evade the sledge-hammer blows of punishment to be mounted by them.
Cory Gardner will be made to feel deeply regret of his wild act of daring to hurt the dignity of the DPRK supreme leadership.
