Moscow, May 5 (KCNA) — The Russian online news service Svobodnaya Presa recently carried an article contributed by an expert on the Korean issue of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which said that the DPRK is a military power capable of coping with provocations by any aggression forces.
Stating that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces will not dare to go into military action against the DPRK, the article said:
The DPRK is not Syria. The army of the DPRK is full of vigor and has strong mental power. The level of its military hardware is very high.
The U.S. has deployed its strategic nuclear weapons in south Korea since 1957, constantly posing a military threat to the DPRK, but has not dared to attack it.
It is because the country is a military power whose people are united close around their leader, ready to successfully cope with the provocations from any aggression forces including the U.S.
The DPRK, possessed of a powerful nuclear deterrent, solemnly clarified its stand that if the U.S. and south Korea go into military action, it would make prompt strikes at the aggressors.
The nuclear issue of the DPRK is attributable to the U.S. which turned down its demand and opposed the conclusion of a peace treaty while introducing huge nuclear forces and military equipment into south Korea.
The U.S. administration threatens to strike the leadership of the DPRK. This is also evidence showing that the U.S. sponsors terrorism.
It is unreasonable for Western countries to assert that they are imposing sanctions on the DPRK to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons.
