Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) — The 17th May 21 Architectural Festival recently took place at the Sci-Tech Complex in the DPRK.
The festival on the theme of “Juche-based architecture making rapid progress with the might of self-development” showcased architectural designs, home-made finishing building materials and furniture, tens of kinds of construction gears and tools, tens of IT-based design programs selected in provincial (municipal) festivals as well as scientific papers in the construction field.
What caught visitors’ eyes were city and town planning designs, green architectural designs and layouts of outdoor facilities, flowerpot stands and benches to be made with waste tires.
Among the exhibits were different colors of distempers, home-made ceramics and cement made by the Rason Cement Factory with industrial waste and municipal waste.
They also included smart grinder and bar cutter presented by the Junggu Public Building Construction Company, building management aid system by the Pyongyang Architectural Information Technology Bureau and a collection of building materials and fittings and reference books by the Mansudae Art Studio.
The festival gave a glimpse of the developing architectural science and technology of the DPRK.
