Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) — Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, has boasted of many traditional foods from olden times.
Among them is Pyongyang cold noodle which is highly appreciated even in old books like “Haedongjukji” for its fresh taste and appetizing appearance.
The main ingredient of Pyongyang cold noodle is buckwheat which is said to be abundant in protein, vitamins and minerals and effective in preventing vascular system disorder and formation of lipid peroxide.
As everyone is fond of Pyongyang cold noodle all the year round, it is well-known as the best traditional Korean food and the one typical of Korean noodle.
When visiting Pyongyang, Kanji Inoki, member of the House of Councilors of Japan, said that he felt fortunate to have its true taste.
