Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) — 102 international peace activists from different countries on May 16 reportedly made public a joint statement in demand of the withdrawal of the THAAD and guarantee of peace on the Korean peninsula.
The statement said the U.S. should accept the failure of the sanctions and pressure upon the DPRK.
It stressed the need to hold negotiations for defusing the nuclear threats from the Korean peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia and replacing the truce system by peace-keeping mechanism.
The statement urged the Trump administration of the U.S. and the south Korean authorities to pay heed to the voices of the world people desirous of peace and stop the military drills escalating military tension on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity.
