Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) — Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), met and had a talk with Pereira Hernandez, Cuban ambassador to Japan, at the Central Hall of Chongryon in Tokyo on May 15.
Ho referred to the fact that the revolutionary feats performed by President Kim Il Sung together with Fidel Castro are recorded in the history of friendship between the DPRK and Cuba.
He rejoiced at Cuba’s victory in the struggle with the U.S. and progress in the economic development.
The Korean people will surely win the confrontation with the U.S. to defend the dignity and sovereignty of the nation by dint of self-reliance and self-development, united as one in mind around their respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, he said.
The Cuban ambassador noted that Cuba and the DPRK have consolidated their long-standing friendly relations as fraternal states.
The Cuban people with the history in which they have struggled against the U.S. since the Cuban revolution fully support the Korean people in the struggle to cope with the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK, he said, adding:
No matter how the international situation may change, the Cuba-DPRK solidarity will remain unchanged and the Cuban people will always stand by the Korean people.
