S. Korea: Abolishment of Evils in Media Field Demanded

Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) — The Emergency Situation Council of Media Organs in south Korea held a press conference at Kwanghwamun Plaza of Seoul on May 26 to declare a struggle for abolishment of evils in the media field, according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo.

Speakers at the conference demanded for investigation into the truth about the media control in the period of Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye administrations, punishment of the culprits, reinstatement of the dismissed, adoption of a law preventing media control, etc.
They urged the culprits of evils in the media field including Ko Yong Ju, director of the Council for Promoting Broadcasting Services and Culture, to step down at once.
