Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) — A seminar in the field of social sciences took place at the Korean Revolution Museum on Thursday to mark the 80th anniversary of the victorious historic battle of Pochonbo commanded by President Kim Il Sung.
The seminar heard the papers on revolutionary feats the President performed by leading the battle to victory.
Through the battle, he demonstrated the Korean people’s firm anti-imperialist stand to regain the sovereignty and dignity of the nation by fighting against the Japanese imperialists to the last and the firm independent stand to achieve the historic cause of liberating the country without fail by the Korean nation itself, the speakers said.
They noted that the victorious battle planted in the minds of the Korean people the mainstay of the firm faith that the cause of liberating the country was certain to be accomplished thanks to him, and fully displayed the might of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army and served as an important occasion in encouraging broad masses of people to turn out in the sacred war of liberating the country.
The flames kindled by the President in Pochonbo were everlasting ones of revolution to encourage the army and people of the DPRK to bring about rapid progress in the confrontation with the U.S.-led imperialism and in the accomplishment of the cause of building a socialist power with the conviction of the final victory in the Juche revolution.
The seminar was attended by teachers, researchers, lecturers, journalists, editors and officials of scientific, educational and media institutions, the field of the preservation of revolutionary relics and party cadres training institutions.
