S. Korean Paper Calls for Police Reform

Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) — The south Korean paper Hangyore carried an editorial calling for the puppet police reform on May 31.

The editorial said that the Ryongsan disaster in 2009 and the death of Paek Nam Gi who participated in the all-people struggle in 2015 were all tragic results of the police’s excessive suppression.
The editorial underlined the need for the police to reflect on the past when it was at beck and call of the regime and reform itself to improve its human rights consciousness.
