All-People Memorial Meeting Held in Seoul

Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) — A meeting was held in Seoul on June 10 to mourn those who dedicated their lives to the struggle for national reunification and democracy of the south Korean society on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the June Popular Resistance, according to the south Korean online newspaper Voice of People.

Speakers at the meeting said that they ousted an unjust repressive regime through candlelight resistance this year marking the 30th anniversary of the June resistance, true to the intention of those who lost their lives in the resistance.
The biggest evils in the south Korean society are the “Security Law” and the racket of branding the demonstrators as “followers of the north”, they said, declaring that they would launch an all-people campaign to probe into the truth behind the brutal crackdown, punish those responsible for it and put an end to the vices of the conservative forces.
