Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) — The Fourth Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security International Conference was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on June 15 and 16, 2017.

It was co-hosted by the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia, and was attended by delegations of the Institute for American Studies of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK and policy research institutes of different countries including Russia, China, Mongolia, United States and Japan, and representatives of international organizations.
The participants had discussions on how to maintain peace and security in northeast Asia and realize economic cooperation in the region.
The delegation of the Institute for American Studies of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK expounded on the reactionary and unwarranted nature of U.S. hostile policy against the DPRK and stressed the DPRK’s principled stand that it would defend its peace and security on its own strength in firm defiance of U.S. highhandedness and strong-arm policy and it would readily respond to no matter what the U.S. wants.
