Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) — Service personnel of the Korean People’s Army, people from all walks of life and school youth and children visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and laid floral baskets before them on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il’s start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
They visited the statues on Mansu Hill.
Seen standing before them was a floral basket sent by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
Laid before them were floral baskets in the names of party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, national institutions, units of the Korean People’s Army and the Korean People’s Internal Security Forces, institutions, enterprises, factories and schools in Pyongyang.
The visitors paid respects at the statues.
Service personnel and people also paid floral tribute to the statues of the great leaders at Kim Il Sung University, the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces, the Mansudae Art Studio and other places in the city.
The service personnel, working people, school youth and children across the country also visited the statues of the great leaders and mosaics depicting them in their residential areas to pay respects to them.
