Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) — An action was launched in Kwangju of south Korea to erect a girl statue accusing the Japanese imperialists of their sexual slavery, according to the south Korean online paper Jaju Sibo.

A promotion committee for erecting a girl statue of peace in North District of Kwangju held a candlelight rally on June 7, at which it recalled that they had conducted information activities every Wednesday to erect the statue in Kwangju.
The committee appealed to students and youths to stand in the van of the action for the erection of the statue.
