Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) — The U.S. is forcing south Korea in an all-round way over the issue of THAAD deployment, discontent with the south Korean authorities’ delay in the deployment.
High-ranking officials of the Departments of State and Defense and Congress vie with each other to claim that THAAD is the indispensable weapon of the U.S. forces “protecting south Korea” and that its deployment plan can never be cancelled.
Meanwhile, a heavyweight of the U.S. marines stressed the need to let an operational unit permanently station in south Korea.
Commenting on the fact, Rodong Sinmun Friday says:
“Threat from north Korea” cited by the U.S. is to cover up its sinister intention to militarily surround big powers of the region and permanently keep south Korea as bridgehead, nuclear advanced base and forward observation base for Asian invasion and thus hold a military edge in the region.
Loud voices about “protection of south Korea” from the U.S. political circle are sheer deceptive and shameless.
No matter what kind of rhetoric the U.S. may use to cover up its nature as the chieftain of aggression, it will never work on anyone.
