S. Korean Authorities Urged to Stop THAAD Deployment

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) — The Taejon Headquarters of the Movement for the People’s Sovereignty and Abolition of Evils in south Korea reportedly held a press conference outside the Taejon City Office on June 21, urging the authorities to stop the U.S. THAAD deployment.

Speakers at the conference said that they would no longer remain an onlooker to the acts of violating south Korea’s sovereignty and threatening peace of the Korean peninsula in a bid to attain the hegemonic interests.
The people’s demand is for the present “government”, a product of the 17 million-strong candlelight action, to abolish the evil practices and the first target of such struggle is to set right the unequal south Korea-U.S. relations which have brought evils for over seven decades.
