Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) — An international meeting on peace and stability of the Korean peninsula took place in Madrid on Friday under the sponsorship of the Elcano Royal Institute of International and Strategic Studies.
Present there were a delegation of the Institute for Disarmament and Peace of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK and delegations from policy-studying institutions of Spain, France, Germany, the UK, Italy, Russia, Poland, China, the U.S. and south Korea.
There were in-depth exchanges of views on the cause of increasing tensions on the Korean peninsula and the ways of tackling the issue of the peninsula.
The DPRK side stressed at the meeting that the root cause of the tensions running high on the peninsula lies in the U.S. hostile policy and threat to ignite a nuclear war.
