Labor Organizations Stage General Strike in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) — Labor movement organizations of south Korea launched a public general strike on Wednesday in demand of the abolition of part-time jobs and hike of minimum salaries, according to KBS.

The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions declared the start of the general strike at a meet-the press, saying that it would last for two weeks.
The organization stated that a rally for general strike would be held on June 30 with attendance of tens of thousands of people from various strata.
