Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) — It is a consistent policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea and DPRK government to take good care of people’s health.
Thanks to this policy, all the people in the country are taking free medical treatment under the superior socialist healthcare system.
It can be evidenced by excellent medical service for women at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.
The hospital offers an intensive care to women pregnant with triplets or quadruplets and women with gynecopathy from across the country as well as puerperae in Pyongyang. And its in-patients are entitled to receive medical treatment of internal, urinary and ophthalmic diseases.
The hospital has also carried out countrywide preventive checkup for women in spring and autumn to detect mastopathy and breast cancer in early stages.
If diagnosed as mastopathy and breast cancer, anyone can be provided with free medical treatment at obstetrical and gynecological department of city and county people’s hospitals in their residential areas or at provincial maternity hospitals and the Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.
