Hyesan, July 25 (KCNA) — Officials and primary information workers of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu from July 19 to 25 in the run-up to the 64th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
In Pochonbo they laid a floral basket and bouquets at the statue of President Kim Il Sung and paid tribute to him and then went round various battle sites.
After touring historic battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu, they looked round relics preserved at leader Kim Jong Il’s birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp.
And they met in front of the Samjiyon Grand Monument to vow to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche, started in Mt Paektu, under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
During the study tour, they visited the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station and conducted various political and cultural activities including frontline-style agitation contest and meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas.
