Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) — A delegation of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK led by Vice Minister Choe Hui Chol visited the Republic of Philippines on July 26.
During his visit Choe Hui Chol had talks with Enrique Gonzales Manalo, undersecretary for Policy, Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.
At the talks both sides exchanged opinions on the issue of developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries as required by the present situation and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The DPRK side referred to the validity of its steps for bolstering up military capabilities for self-defence and successes in the building of a socialist power, expressing the stand to expand and develop the relations with the Philippines in different fields.
The Philippines side said the delegation’s visit would mark a significant occasion in further developing the bilateral relations and underlined the importance for boosting support and cooperation among the member nations of the ASEAN Regional Forum including the DPRK.
