Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) — Maritime activities are brisk at schools across the DPRK.
All middle and primary schools in Pyongyang are effectively conducting the operation of hobby groups along with physical education classes to make sure that all students and pupils are good at swimming.
They frequently organize swimming contests among the classes and grades to enhance the students’ zeal for swimming.
The schools in coastal cities like Wonsan, Hamhung, Haeju and Nampho are making efforts to teach the students how to row a boat, not to mention the skills of swimming, through the routine use of bathing beaches and swimming pools.
Other schools across the country are cultivating team spirit among their students by frequently organizing river-crossing competitions.
