Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) — An event took place at the People’s Palace of Culture here on Monday to mark World Hepatitis Day.
Present there were officials of the Ministry of Public Health, public organizations, media and relevant units and members of missions of the international organizations here, including the United Nations resident coordinator and UNDP resident representative and the acting representative of WHO.
The speakers said that a brisk work to prevent and treat hepatitis is being conducted in various ways on a worldwide scale.
Referring to the importance of combating hepatitis in protecting and promoting the people’s health, they called for raising social concern and enthusiasm for rendering aid to this.
Then, a presentation was made on successes in Hepatitis preventive inoculations and data on the trend of diagnosis and treatment of Hepatitis B and its introduction.
