Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) — Ri Yong Ho, minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, Monday sent messages of greeting to his counterparts of member nations of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its secretary general on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
They are the foreign minister of Indonesia, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Vietnam, the foreign minister of Laos, the senior minister and minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, the foreign ministers of Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines and the secretary general of ASEAN.
In the messages Ri Yong Ho noted that ASEAN has been developed into the powerful community leading the regional problems on the principles of respecting sovereignty and non-interference in other’s internal affairs and is now raising the weighty voices in the regional and international arenas.
Expressing the belief that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and those countries and other member nations would grow stronger, he wished them successes in their work.
