Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, on August 11.
In the message, the president extended sincere congratulations to Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the day of liberation.
We look back in reverence on the soldiers of the Red Army and patriots of Korea who laid down their lives in the struggle for freedom and independence of your country, the message said.
I am convinced that further strengthening the friendship and constructive cooperation between Russia and the DPRK is in line with our common interests and would contribute to ensuring peace and stability in the Korean peninsula and rest of Northeast Asia, the message noted.
The message wished Kim Jong Un good health and success and wished all the people of the DPRK happiness and wellbeing.
