Young Koreans in Japan Protest against Anti-DPRK War Exercise

Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) — The protest group consisting of the Korean Youth League in Japan, the south Korean Youth League in Japan, the Union of Korean Students in Japan, the south Korean Students’ Council for National Reunification in Japan and other youth and students organizations in Japan protested against the Ulji Freedom Guardian U.S.-south Korea joint military exercise outside the U.S. embassy in Tokyo on August 22.

A letter of protest was read out by the representatives of the Korean Youth League in Japan and the south Korean Youth League in Japan.
They denounced the war exercise conducted by the Trump administration as the root cause of the military tensions escalating in and around the Korean peninsula.
They sharply denounced the U.S. imperialists for driving the situation on the Korean peninsula into the uncontrollable phase of a nuclear war, not content with sparking off the Korean nation’s wild rage by saying “even though a war breaks out, it would be fought on the Korean peninsula and even though people die, that will be on the peninsula”.
