Papers Call for Strengthening Non-Aligned Movement

Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) — Leading newspapers of the DPRK Friday observe the Day of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Noting that the Non-Aligned Movement has dynamically advanced under the banner of independence against imperialism since its birth, Rodong Sinmun in an article says:
Many years have passed, but the aim of the NAM has not yet been realized and there are still a lot of things to do.
The DPRK has always been faithful to the fundamental idea and principle of the NAM till now since it became its full-fledged member. And it has fully discharged its mission in the struggle to establish a fair international relationship and achieve global peace and security.
It is the desire of humankind to strengthen the NAM and live in a peaceful world free from war by realizing independence of the whole world. It is an invariable stand of the DPRK government to struggle to this end.
The DPRK will as ever do its utmost to achieve the unity and cohesion of the movement and its development.
Minju Joson says in an article that the NAM should make a positive contribution to realizing the peace and security of the world and victoriously advancing the human cause of independence.
