Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) — A reception, provided by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, was given in honor of the delegation for marking the 70th anniversary of the Korean Democratic Women’s Union in Japan at the People’s Palace of Culture Monday.
Present on invitation were the delegation for marking the 70th anniversary of the Democratic Women’s Union led by Kim Il Sun, adviser of its Central Standing Committee and a congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan for celebrating the 69th anniversary of the DPRK and other compatriots from Japan.
Kim Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the C.C., Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim Jin Guk, director of the Agency of Overseas Korean Affairs, and officials concerned were on hand.
Kim Yong Chol said in his speech that the Korean Democratic Women’s Union in Japan has triumphed and displayed its honor despite the strong tempest of history for a long period under the leadership and care of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
He expressed belief that the officials of the women’s union and Korean women in Japan would reliably display their honorable responsibility and mission in a drive for ushering in a fresh heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan in the great era of Kim Jong Un bearing in mind the faith that they would surely triumph led by him.
Kim Il Sun noted in her speech that Kim Jong Un invited the delegation to the homeland on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Democratic Women’s Union and showed loving care for it.
She stressed that officials of the women’s union and Korean women in Japan would more vigorously advance the movement of Korean women in Japan, true to the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un as Juche-oriented overseas women’s organization which has grown up under the leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
