Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) — Taekwon-Do, the traditional martial art of Korea, has been widely disseminating in the world.
It traces back to Subak (a Korean style of martial art using mainly hands) which was popular in the period of Koguryo Kingdom (B.C. 277-A.D. 668).
The Koguryo people venerated martial arts and their spirit served as a source which gave a birth to Subak.
Later, Subak had been developed into a martial art using hands and feet and became a part of their daily life.
