Union Officials and Members of DPRK Pledge to Join in Military Service

Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) — More than 216 300 trade union officials and members volunteered to join and rejoin the People’s Army just on Sept. 22 when the statement of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, was announced.

The number of those volunteers among the trade union members is daily on the increase since then.
More than 58 000 union officials and members at the Capital City Construction Commission, the Ministry of Railways and other commissions, ministries and national institutions here held meetings to vow to take the lead in the anti-U.S. sacred war to wipe out all those wolves from the surface of the earth, volunteering for military service.
In Jagang Province, at least tens of thousands of union members petitioned for military service.
Those trade union members in North Hwanghae Province, too, met and pledged to join or rejoin in the army so as to defend the country with arms.
A lot of union members in North and South Phyongan provinces vowed to serve in the army with their strong will to win the final victory in the showdown with the U.S.
Such scenes have been witnessed among the workers in all other provinces of the country.
