Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) — The 21st National Exhibition of Sports Scientific and Technological Achievements opened with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex on Monday.
On display at the exhibition are more than 1 200 sci-tech achievements such as sports programs, measuring instruments, sports medicine, tonics, athletic equipment and sports goods and books and papers.
Among those present at the ceremony were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK who is chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Jon Kwang Ho, vice premier of the Cabinet, and officials concerned.
Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, stressed in an opening address that through the exhibition, all the participants should actively exchange their successes and experience and apply them in practice and thus furtherimprove every sphere of sports such as exercise and competition, sports education and training of sports reserves on the basis of modern sports science.
The exhibition will remain open till September 6.
