Art Performance Goes on in North Phyongan Province of DPRK

Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) — The music and dance performance of the State Merited Chorus, the Moranbong Band and the Wangjaesan Art Troupe has grasped the hearts of inhabitants in North Phyongan Province from the outset, and the enthusiasm to enjoy the performance is increasing day by day.

The audience included workers, technicians and officials of major industrial establishments and working people, youth and students in the province.
The hall of performance resounded with applause when the artistes appeared on the stage where the letters reading “Warm congratulations to the North Phyongan provincial people building the best socialist paradise!” are displayed on the background.
When the national anthem was played, the hall was in a mood of joy and excitement.
The performers well represented the true features of the great mother through such numbers as “Song Dedicated to Mother Party”, “Oh Party, It’s Thanks to Your Care”, “We Sing of the Party” and “You Are Mother” praising the Workers’ Party of Korea.
As a narrative poem “Oh North Phyongan Province, glorify the socialist paradise” was presented and the images of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il displayed on the background, the audiences could hardly repress their deep yearning for the great leaders.
A sea of dances in the hall with female and male chorus “Silk Girl in Nyongbyon” and “Changsong Today” revved up the atmosphere of the performance.
Light music “Pyongyang Is Best” and tap dance “Young Days” were acclaimed by the audience.
The performance is evoking a lively response among the audiences.
