Bulgarian Body Releases Information Bulletin to Mark WPK’s Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) — The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association released an information bulletin on the occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

The bulletin in an article titled “72 Years of WPK” said that although the WPK was founded on Oct. 10, 1945, the historical roots of the party had already been provided long ago.
The article noted that thanks to the energetic leadership of President Kim Il Sung, the Down-with-Imperialism Union was formed on Oct. 17, 1926, and the Korean revolution greeted a new turning point.
He ended the Japanese imperialists’ colonial rule and liberated Korea and then founded the WPK, it pointed out.
Under the leadership of the great Party the Korean people built a new society and carried out the postwar reconstruction and successfully accomplished the historic task of socialist industrialization in a short span of time, it said, and went on:
Thanks to the Songun politics of the WPK, socialism has been firmly defended and the DPRK has access to the tremendous nuclear deterrent despite the moves of the U.S. and its vassal forces to stifle the DPRK.
All the achievements made by the DPRK are the fruition of the wise guidance of the great leaders President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, it stressed.
