Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) — Events to mark the 72nd anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea were held by the General Association of Koreans in China and organizations under it.
A meeting to adopt a letter of the Association to respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un took place in Shenyang of China on October 10.
Present there were officials of the Association.
At the meeting Choe Un Bok, chairperson of the Association, said the more than 70-year long history of the WPK is a history in which the unique road of building a revolutionary party in the era of independence was paved under the banner of the Juche idea, a great history in which a worldwide example was set in socialist construction and a heroic epic of anti-imperialist struggle was recorded despite the most arduous struggle and a history of victory in which eternal firm foundation was laid.
The Koreans in China should remain loyal to the wise guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un and turn out in the patriotic struggle for prosperity of the homeland and its reunification, she said.
On the same day, a meeting for adopting a letter to Kim Jong Un from the Zhongnan Regional Association under the General Association of Koreans in China took place at the DPRK embassy in Beijing.
Adopted at the meeting was a letter of loyalty and pledge to Kim Jong Un in the joint name of the Zhongnan regional association, the Beijing City branch, and the Zhongnan regional association of the Federation of Young Korean Nationals in China.
Meanwhile, an event of Koreans in China for presenting a floral basket to the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin was held.
Officials of the General Association of Koreans in China, the chairperson of the Liaoning regional association, the branch chief of Shenyang City, the branch chief of Tandong City and other Koreans in China placed floral baskets before art pieces depicting President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and portraits of the smiling great leaders at the DPRK consulate-general in Shenyang and its Tandong office.
