Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) — Factories conducive to the improvement of the people’s diet are on the increase in the DPRK. They are producing traditional dishes in an industrial way.
The Ryugyong Fermented Soybean Factory in Thongil Street produces fermented soybean and bean-curd preserved in soy.
When interviewed by KCNA, Jong In Chol, manager of the factory, said:
The factory has put production processes on an automated, germ-free and dust-free basis and established the computer integrated manufacturing. It also has a fermented soybean production process.
Fermented soybean contains protein, vitamins and protease, good for treatment and prevention of vascular diseases.
The Pyongyang Essential Foodstuff Factory in Songyo District, too, is producing fermented soybean, dried fermented soybean, boiled bean and spices, etc.
All its production processes ranging from preparation of raw materials to packing are automated and streamlined.
