New Software Developed in DPRK

Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) — Scientists at the Global Environmental Information Institute under the State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK developed new software for reference to natural resources which is helpful to have effective use of natural energy.

The software is divided into two programs–the one which deals with 3D geographical information based on satellite images and the other which enables users to search for countrywide wind, hydraulic, organic, tidal and solar energy resources.
The software is considered to be conducive to working out the strategy and plan for developing natural energy resources of the country in a scientific way.
