5th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of 9th C.C., Youth League

Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) — The 5th enlarged plenary meeting of the 9th Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League took place here Tuesday.

The meeting discussed how to carry through the tasks set forth by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un at the 2nd plenary meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The report was followed by speeches.
The speakers noted that the Supreme Leader at the plenary meeting clarified the orientation and tasks for bringing about a fresh upsurge in the implementation of the decisions made at the 7th Congress of the WPK under the uplifted banner of independence and the self-development-first principle.
They stressed the need for youth league organizations at all levels to help their members fully discharge their honorable mission and duty as the youth vanguard of Juche Korea by giving fullest play to their strength, wisdom and enthusiasm in the on-going historical advance.
They called upon all the youths to fully display their honor of being an advancing group and wing of the Party in every field of the building of a powerful socialist country, true to the spirit of the 2nd plenary meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the WPK.
The enlarged plenary meeting dealt with the organizational matter.
At the meeting Jon Yong Nam was relieved of his post and Pak Chol Min was elected first secretary of the C.C., the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League.
