Phyongsong, November 9 (KCNA) — A national loach cooking contest took place in Phyongsong City, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK, on Nov. 8-9.
The contest, sponsored by the Central Committee of the Korean Association of Cooks, brought together cooks from 40-odd public catering service centers including the ones of ministries and national institutions and in Pyongyang and each province.
It was held in the way of estimating loach dishes, loach soup and fried loach cooked on the spot in a fixed time.
Okryu Restaurant and Chongryu Restaurant took special places and the Changgwang Public Service Management Bureau, Haebangsan Hotel, Kyonghung Guidance Bureau, Taedonggang District Restaurants Management Office and the South Phyongan Provincial Commercial Management Bureau the first place.
