Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) — The 4th enlarged plenary meeting of the 6th Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea was held in Pyongyang Tuesday.
Present there were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the Union and the union officials.
The meeting discussed the issue of implementing the tasks set forth by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un at the 2nd plenary meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Jang Chun Sil, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the union, made a report to be followed by speeches.
The speakers noted that at the 2nd plenary meeting of the 7th WPK Central Committee Kim Jong Un clarified the orientation and tasks for bringing about a fresh surge in the struggle to build a socialist power with the might of single-minded unity under the uplifted banner of independence and the self-development-first spirit.
All the officials and members of the union should fulfill the duties they have assumed as Korean women in the present all-out general charge for implementing the decisions made at the 7th WPK Congress with confidence in sure victory and in the spirit of devotedly carrying out the decisions, they said.
They underscored the need for all the women’s union organizations to conduct dynamic political work and various mass movements for effecting a fresh turn in building a socialist economic power with self-development as a great driving force and with the might of science and technology.
