Release of All Prisoners of Conscience Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) — People from all walks of life in south Korea reportedly urged the puppet authorities to set free all prisoners of conscience on Dec. 5.

The Catholic Priests’ Council for Justice in a statement stressed that the release of prisoners of conscience should be delayed no longer to remove the evils and realize justice.
Meanwhile, the Committee for Promoting the Release of Prisoners of Conscience called a press conference in Seoul and published a declaration on the situation in the name of people from different walks of life including civic and social, religious and labor circles. It demanded that the release of prisoners of conscience, the first step for removing the evils, be implemented within this year.
